Employee of the Month for APRIL 2012

EDITH HERRERA
Employee
of the Month
for
APRIL 2012

Herrera grew up and attended school in Brewster, is married and has three children and currently lives in Bridgeport.  She began her work 14 years ago in the Dietary department and has continued to help support the hospital over the years.  When asked what she likes most about the hospital, Edie said:  “As a child, I always liked 'the big house up on the hill' and the people.”   She has stayed on staff with the hospital because she enjoys the people she works with and the patients and their families.  As time passed, Edie learned about different foods and she wants to continue to help make things better for everyone who visits the cafeteria in the hospital.

Three Rivers Hospital staff members have the opportunity each month to nominate an Employee of the Month, with an employee of the year chosen in December. Members of three different departments nominated Herrera saying:  “Edie works very hard, has no problem helping when called in and also visits well with the public.”  Several employees admire Edie for passing her Washington state Restaurant Association ServSafe Advanced Food Safety exam.  After completion of the online course work, ServSafe certification is awarded to a participant when the exam is passed to signify the holder has the knowledge to perform basic day-to-day operations of food service preparation.

In appreciation of their work, each Employees of the Month is awarded
  • A vest with the Three Rivers Hospital logo on it
  • A reserved parking space for the following month they are nominated, and
  • Their Employee of the Month certificate proudly displayed in the hospital lobby

If you visit us in the next few weeks and visit our cafeteria, please help us congratulate Edie!
