Former Employee Returns to Fill IT Manager Position

Edgar Arellano has been hired to the Information Technology (IT) Manager position!

Edgar graduated from Brewster High School in 1998 and served in the U.S. Army and Air Force from 1998 to 2007. He was a Cavalry Scout in the Army for four years and a Health Services Manager in the Air Force for four years. As a Health Services Manager, Edgar was a database administrator for the David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Business Information Systems from DeVry University in February 2011, Edgar quickly started towards his MBA with a concentration in Networking and Communications through Keller Graduate School of Management.

Soon after his honorable discharge from the service, Edgar began working at the Admissions desk for Okanogan Douglas District Hospital in Brewster. Within nine months, he was transferred to the IT department as an Application Support Technician.

Edgar and his wife, Cecelia, recently decided to become therapeutic foster parents. "We are both from small towns and wanted to raise our children in a similar environment," Edgar stated. "We were both excited to hear that there was an opportunity to do so when we learned of the position available at the hospital. I, personally, am very excited to come back to the hospital. I was fortunate to be able to work closely with everyone in each department. I left behind, but never forgot close friends. There was something different and someone new to work with on a daily basis. That's one of the things I enjoyed most from working at the hospital and looking forward to it once again."

Chosen because of his knowledge of the hospital's networking system, staff members are looking forward to working with Edgar again.
