Jose
Saul Sausedo, Surgical Technologist, began his career at Three Rivers Hospital
as a part-time medical interpreter in 2001. Working part-time at Harmony House HealthCare Center as the Ward Secretary, he also completed a Nurses AssistantCertified (NAC) Program and passed the Washington state NAC exam. Sausedo returned to the hospital full-time to
work as a NAC and the front desk. In
2006, he was invited to work in the Surgery department full-time. His job as Lead Surgical Tech includes
inventory for the operating room, setting up for surgery, and assisting in
surgery. Sausedo, raised in Bridgeport,
is married with three children and lives in Brewster. He likes sports-- especially basketball --
and enjoys fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Staff
members have the opportunity every month to nominate an Employee of the Month, with an employee of the year
chosen in December. Lynda Wagoner,
Emergency Department RN, nominated Sausedo, stating: “Saul is always ready and willing to do
whatever he is called upon to do. In
response to a Trauma Code recently, as part of the rapid response team for life
saving measures, he was called to the Emergency Department and did an awesome
job.”
When
asked why he likes working at Three Rivers Hospital, Sausedo said: “I really
like the great staff interaction and have always been made to feel welcome in the
Surgery department. My job is a
worthwhile occupation because I am able to help people.”
In
appreciation of their work, each Employee of the Month is awarded
- A vest with the Three Rivers Hospital logo
- A reserved parking space for the following month they are nominated, and
- Their Employee of the Month certificate proudly displayed in the hospital lobby
Each person nominated throughout the calendar year
has
the opportunity to become the “Employee of the Year” at
